Missouri Opens Up Head Coach Search
COLUMBIA, MO - The University of Missouri Men’s Lacrosse Team, an MCLA Division 1 program and member of the Lone Star Alliance Conference (LSA), invites applications for the position of Head Coach-Men's Lacrosse.
APPOINTMENT: Part-Time
AVAILABLE: Immediately for Spring 2025
JOB DESCRIPTION
Develop and maintain a nationally competitive lacrosse program in harmony with LSA, MCLA, and University of Missouri rules. Actively lead and teach eager student-athletes who wish to increase program success. Implement an effective training program to prepare athletes both physically and mentally for competition. Establish behavioral objectives for the season. Coordinate focus on student-athlete performance as well as personal and leadership development. The head coach is accountable to the officers of the Mizzou Lacrosse Alumni Association (MLAA) and adherence to club university guidelines outlined by the Mizzou Rec Association.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Head coach responsibilities include, but are not limited to, player development, player recruitment, planning and conducting daily practices, establishing team roster, productive game management, representing team interests at national and conference meetings, team supervision during travel, maintaining alumni relations, and providing guidance to the team’s student leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• College lacrosse experience as a player
• Minimum two years of successful coaching experience at the college level
• Commitment to attend and travel for all scheduled practices and games
• Ambition and determination to work with a growing team
• Significant knowledge of all phases of the game

COMPENSATION
The position is offering a base of $13,000 in annual compensation for the fall and spring seasons with additional performance bonuses and lucrative income opportunities through running camps/clinics. Assistance will be provided for accepted candidate’s housing and supplemental job search in Columbia, MO.

Coaching compensation is funded through the Mizzou Lacrosse Alumni Association, a 501(c) (3) organization, created in 2016 by the Mizzou lacrosse alumni to provide financial support and stability for the growth of the program. The storied Mizzou men’s lacrosse program is benefited by 50-years of former students, parent, and fan supporters.
