Dayton’s Sattler Has D-II Top Performance
ATLANTA – After helping navigate his team through the toughest conference in the land to a league championship, Dayton senior goalie Ross Sattler has earned Division II Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending May 1.
In victories over No. 8 Grand Valley State and No. 11 Lourdes, Sattler combined for 26 saves, a 61.9 save percentage and an 8.00 goals against average. The Rossford, Ohio, product also grabbed five ground balls, helping the Flyers earn the No. 2 seed in the MCLA National Championships.
“He was a rock for the defense when things broke down and made the big saves when we needed them,” said Dayton coach Joe Venturella. “He was great on the clear and was a vocal leader for the whole team in both games.”
For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Sattler will receive a new Under Armour Command Head. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
