Schedule Released by San Diego State
SAN DIEGO -- Hoping to build on a strong finish to the 2018 campaign when it won four of its last six games, San Diego State has unveiled its schedule for the 2019 season.
The Aztecs will play a 14-game regular season slate that features three teams that qualified for the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
San Diego State will open the season with the first annual Mountain West Showdown as three other teams from that traditional collegiate conference -- UNLV, Boise State and Nevada -- descend on San Diego for a two-day event on Feb. 16-17.
The Aztecs will be moving to the North division of the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) for the first time this spring, setting up big games with Chapman, Concordia-Irvine, USC, UCLA and Claremont.
The SLC tournament starts on Sat., April 20 with the first round and concludes with the semifinals and final at La Costa Canyon High School on April 26-28.
The winner of the SLC tournament earns an automatic qualifying bid to the 2019 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will take place from May 6-11 in Salt Lake City.
